For those that feed the PML diet, do you use the bee pollen? I have seen two, one without the bee pollen (and only using two eggs) and one WITH the bee pollen and using three eggs. I have a friend who wanted to switch to the PML, so I sent her the link (I am using the one WITHOUT the bee pollen). She called To and Fro gliders to order the Wombaroo (that is who I ordered it from) and they told her she HAD to get the bee pollen, as the gliders would get sick without it! Is this true? Should I be using the one WITH bee pollen? Anyone who can help me, I would be very much appreciative! I switched because my two would not touch the BML no matter what I did! They do seem to like this much better, but now I wonder if I am going to make them sick! Please help me!! Thank you!

http://www.gliderdad79.com/pml.phpThat's the PML link on GC, but I'm sure you already know that. I was suggesting that you contact the P in PML (Pockets/Debbie). There is an e-mail at the bottom. This mix doesn't look like it has the bee pollen, and I would think this is the original one...

Pappy- the bee pollen is supposed to be the source of Calcium as far as I understand it. I recently switched to PML because my new baby I'm getting will be on that diet. And I tried some on my suggies and they love it! I'm following the recipe using the 3 eggs and bee pollen.

I feed PML, and I use the one with bee pollen, the bee pollen is a strong sorce of protien and needs to be in the mix, if you ask me. I have been on it since July, and the gliders and I have no complaints.

Ok, guess I need to order some bee pollen! Does anyone know if you can get that in stores (like GNC or something or do you have to order it? If I can get it in stores, could get is faster!) Thanks for the help!

You can buy the bee pollen from most healthfoods stores. I recently purcahsed a larger container from Stakich They have great prices, fast shipping, and great customer service. Also, there are two diets that use the WHPS. Pockets created the one that uses the two eggs and no bee pollen. Peggy (SRLB) created the one that stayed with the three eggs but adds bee pollen. I looked at both before deciding which one to use. I prefered Peggy's simply because my gliders would not eat the Insectivore Fare that Pocket's version calls for. Make sure that you are using the correct version as each one does things a little differently. HTH

Maybe I can clear things up here again for everyone. The original diet plan for this diet was brought to us by Pockets. Therefore the name is PML. After having my vet look over the box of the high protein wombaroo and the diet as a whole, he suggested that I leave the diet at 3 eggs and add the bee pollen as it makes a natural calcium and protein intake. And gliders do eat bee pollen in their natural habitat. My version WITH the bee pollen IS INDEED different than the original PML, so please be sure to follow the one you choose correctly.

THANK YOU! On the bee pollen, I know it comes in many forms, so which do I get? Should it be a fine grind, or more course?

Bee Pollen is known as a miracle "food" due to the fact that it contains every single thing in it to maintain life. (yes, humans too) I have always given our gliders Bee Pollen and Acacia Gum from the beginning, even when I didn't have them on one the proven diets on GC. I feed ours a modified PML and will always feed the Bee Pollen sprinkled on the veggies and teeny bit of calcium on corn. The Acacia gets put on fruits here.
