Rose's Lament of Hope

Small with a large heart.
Larger than your little body could
Hold.
You came to my hearth and heart
So many moons ago,
But I never really could keep your
High soul close enough to my
Ground bound heart.

How I wish I could have flown with you.
Seen your bright eyes look up
And up
And up...
Almost to the moon itself.

You have the most pure, meek,
and saucy little way.

Rose. My flower. The only
Bud I have ever seen grow and
Stay perfect throughout all of it's life.
Too short.

The Bridge has called you home.
Right to the site resting under God's
Shining heart.
I so wish I could go with you there.
