Sorry it took me a day to get this update on the board. Since our Mama glider injured her leg, we've taken her to the vetrinarian where they amputated. Our male glider had tried to "help" get rid of the dead foot, so we had to seperate them unfortunatly but since the vet has removed the injured foot, she seems to be doing well. She's taking great care of her baby and doesn't seem to have any pain at all. Just will take her awhile to get used to manuvering around with only 3 feet but I think she will do well. WARNING TO EVERY GLIDER OWNER: The swing type of hammocks are not safe to be in their cages. Our gliders foot unfortunatly got stuck and tangled in the string and this caused her to lose her foot. Thanks to everyone who has been concerned! Jennifer

Thank you so much for replying! I have been thinking about you and your baby since you first shared this story. I am sorry about the loss of her leg, but thank goodness she is still around! I am sure that she will be moving around soon, I think animals sometimes have an easier time adapting than we do.

I'm closing this post as you have one open in Health in Hygiene where I feel you will get the most responses for this thread. Sorry, but if you want to post there is one open in that forum. Thank you Danielle
