Does anyone feed chicken with bones?? I know some people might not agree with this, but I think the bones has a lot of calciums in them and they seem to suck it clean each time...

Chicken bones are prone to splintering. If you feed them to gliders theres a risk that the glider could swallow a chicken bone and either choke or cause some type of bodily harm...

Chicken bones would really scare me. I don't allow my kids to eat any chicken with bones for fear they will get hurt. In my opinion I don't think it is safe but maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

I don't think this would be safe either. I always pull the chicken off the bone for my guys. I don't think it is worth the risk myself.

not really worth the risk, if they eat a chunk and it gets caught in their throat, you may not know because your asleep. I personally wouldn't, only takes 2 seconds to take the chicken off the bone...

[:"blue"] Bone splintering is certainly an issue for large animals like dogs that have the jaw strength to shatter bones. Gliders don't quite match dogs for dog strength......really doubt they could splinter a bone??? I've fed my gliders chicken with bones and never had a problem.....they clean the meat off the bone but don't seem to do much with the bone itself. I doubt there is much calcium benefit to the diet since they don't seem to ingest any bone material.

It is reported that gliders eat small birds and reptiles in the wild and captive animals are fed baby chicks and pinkie mice as part of some well known glider diets.

My personal opinion is that there are hundreds of dietary issues that are of much greater risk to gliders than chicken bones. I don't worry about it. [/]

The bones in baby animals like that are not really solid like a chicken bone is, and they are a lot smaller. I give my rats chicken bones, and they will eat them and there is usuall nothing left to them, but a rat is not a glider.
