Yes, the feeding plan should supply sufficient calcium as well as other nutrients. Foods such as mice are given occasionally (in my boys' case, twice a week) as a nutritious treat and as enrichment. I hide the mice among the branches and leaves in their cage so they have to 'hunt'. I really get a kick seeing my little angels turn into mini-predators! Uber-cool!

Actually I have been told that pinkie mice have a ratio of 1:1. Don't worry I have beent alking this over with several people (Experienced glider owners) and they feel it is good too. Also I meant I would prefer to give their calcium in a natural way and NOT a supplement I feel it is better as long as I am keeping an eye on it. I am very much a naturalist even when it comes to my suggies!

I am thrilled this thread took off the way it did. I feel like we all really needed the info. Thanks everyone for your input! btw: I did feed a pinkie... there was nothing left of it! I guess they did alright with it!
