I was just wondering how people get their gliders to be comfortable enough to sleep in their hands? What are the steps to take in doing this? Xander still isn't too friendly and I'm wondering what all I can do to get him to be nice, and ultimately feel comfortable enough to curl up in my hand (whether he will actually do it or not, thats another question). What can I do to get him to get used to being in my hands?

I had mine for a couple of days, and when I reached in to the pouch where Damon and PMS were sleeping, I kind of scooped Damon up in my hand and left it in the pouch. He never really work up all the way, he just settled right back down. I don't know if it was so easy because he's young, but he's been pretty comfortable with sleeping on me or in my hands ever since.

I agree, get them used to sleeping in your hand inside their pouch. Eventually they might get to where they will sleep in your hand without the pouch. Just remember they do sleep in the day time and the pouch helps block the light so an open hand might not be the most comfortable place for them to sleep.
Also, night time is play time so they probably wouldn't want to sleep then.

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

To get them being used to being held in my hand I hold them in my hand while they are in the pouch and while they are sleeping I take them out In my hands.

I can't just scoop him up when he's sleeping, he'd bite me up pretty bad, lol. He's getting better, but you don't go in his space without him knowing. I kinda had my one hand around him today, but if I moved the other he went nuts crabbing. I'm going to keep trying. Any ideas with an older not-so tame glider? I think Xander is 5 months old, maybe 6, he's not balding yet. But he was completely wild when I got him a month ago. He's getting better but still. How will I ever gain this guy's trust?
