Hi! I got my little buddy about 2 weeks ago and everything is going great. He is a two year old neutered male. I got him from some people who had several gliders and they told me Buddy didnt get along with the other gliders so they had him housed seperate. I spend alot of time with him but I'm afraid to have only one. I dont want him to get depressed. If I do get another is there a certain age, because hes already two. I want the best for him.

Getting him a friend is an admirable idea, but keep in mind what his previous owners have warned you about. You may end up with two gliders living apart by the time all is said and done. No matter how how hard we try, some gliders are just not going to accept a cagemate. Look for a glider the same age or a little older and the same general size so that your little buddy will not easily be able to bully the newcomer. Have fun with your new friend.

So do you think I should not or atleast wait to get a friend for him? I think Buddy would bully someone, my cat looks at him and he just looks at her like "Bring it on feline" its pretty funny!

I am normally one of the first to say to get two gliders. I have seen singles and pairs and have to admit that the pairs seem to be the happiest. However, if Buddy refuses to have a glider friend, then that is his choice. Seems to me he already has a friend in you. Just spend as much time with him as you can.

Thanks for the advise. I think I might give it alittle time and see how he adjusts. If he starts to seem depressed I'll try a friend! Thanks again!
