I once was told that it was not allowed to fly into DC with a sugar glider. Is this true? If so, do you have any suggestions as I may be spending the summer in DC with my Bella and traveling to and from home (VT). I can't part with her

Yes you can fly into Washington DC with your Bella..You'll be using Reagan National Airport. She must travel in the cargo/pet area though. Gliders are not allowed in ANY plans passenger area. Flying with her will be approx 150.00 and you can call the Continental Airline Pet Safe to book her flight 1-800-575-3335.
Have fun this summer in the city!!
