spray adhesive for a do-it-yourself trim trax? #53420

I bought Elmer's spray adhesive yesterday to make a nail trimmer thing for the wheel (for attaching the sand paper to the screening). I'm a little concerned that it may kill him... it says "flammable. poison". though my understanding is that all spray adhesives are poisonous!! does the toxicity disperse somewhat after it dries? it also says "dried adhesive will remain slightly tacky", which also concerns me.
has anybody used this around gliders before? is there any proven (non-deadly) product?

I would NOT use it. Instead, perhaps you can use duct tape to hold it in place?

I agree with Dancing, I would not use a spray adhesive product, or any product with that warning around my suggies…

If you have put it in the cage, GET IT OUT. Read the back of the can. Prolonged exposure can cause brain, nervous system and other organ damage. Vapors may be harmful or fatal. Keep out of reach of children. I would rather send you free TrimTrax than have you expose one of your gliders to this. Don't use anything like this around your glider that isn't food safe. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but I can't let you do something that will hurt your little one. Please contact me. I will send them to you.

don't worry, i haven't even made it yet. how can i attach duct tape in a way to keep it from sticking to him? i guess one on each side, if they are lined up peeerrrrrfffectly... i guess i'm going to have to be innovative :/
hushpuppy: thanks for the offer! but the wheel i have is solid plastic, and there's no way to attach it.
