Wow... think I'll never post anything on here again... for some reason, my offer to design tattoos was a thread killer on the tattoo thread without anyone even asking about it or wanting to see my art, but this is just "what the people in the tattoo thread need." (macwood6)

I'm a little offended by the implied insult with that statement... Mandy's art is spectacular (as an artist I definitely see that), but why did someone have to slam me by saying that without ever having seen any of my art?

Mandy, love your stuff, it IS stunning, (and I'd like an original from you one day, really) I just don't like how flippant that one comment came off, considering that many careful hours have been put into my artwork, glider related or otherwise...

Well, Mandy, keep up the great work, and I hope my rant didn't bug you too much... I've been a bit sleep deprived, too, and I'm sure that isn't helping my disposition much-

anyways, people- please don't be too mad at me for posting this, and please try to be considerate when others on this site try to offer a service... and after ignoring them, don't insult them by saying a new poster is "just what "whatever thread" needs"

Sometimes when we post in the middle of the night, like this here...things get lost in the shuffle as there are less people on to see what we post. It happens all the time that I am the last to post in a thread and that does not mean I "killed" it...just that the people that may have been interested were probably in bed. This place is pretty quiet at night most times...I bet anything you were NOT being shut out and you were not being ignored...I bet people just missed your post...TRUST ME...it happens all of the time.

Serastes, I`m so sorry that my thread spawned all of this hurt and angst for you... it was truly, not my intent. I simply wished to share my work. I`m sorry that you felt personally attacked by a comment one of the members posted here. *Offers hug* Your compliment means the world to me - coming from a fellow artist. Mandy, I know it wasn't your intent at all, and truly, I'm very happy to see such beautiful artwork from another member on GC...

... A lot of that was probably just me being cranky, and hopefully I was just reading too much into the wording that the other GC member used, which may well be the case. I hope so, anyway!

Love your online portfolio, BTW... your colored pencil work is extremely awesome! (If you haven't found a home for the Legolas piece yet, or even have prints of it, please let me know- I love collecting art from other talented people!) I know, I'm a LOTR nerd on top of everything else, lol.

Sadly, art is just a side thing for me at the moment (I have to have a day job to make ends meet) but eventually, I would like to do it full time. Just got to get my foot in the door, so to speak! LOL

As an FYI, limited edition prints are finally avaiable of the 'bust' glider (the pencil sketch that appears sepia) and the cartoon glider, that are posted at the beginning of this thread. If anyone is interetsed, feel free to shoot me a pm, and I can give you more information.

(Serastes: I`m glad you and I are 'good' again. I have to check and see if Legolas is still in my possession. If I don`t have the original, I think I may have several scanned versions of it on my old PC. I`ll look into having my friend/print specialist create a print for you, in that situation. I don`t know about 'amazing' but it`s my passion. My little gliders have been very inspirational to me, as of late! My tiny muses, of sorts! Will post more work as I complete it. Weekends tend to be my most art-productive days!
