Hello Glider Slaves,

I was just curious if anyone had suggestions on suppliers of PVC Coated and Powder Coated Hardware Cloth. I am looking for online suppliers, as Home Depot does not have adequate length Hardware Cloth bundles. I am, of course, looking for hardware cloth that can be used to put together a cage of whatever size I choose for the sugar babies. Ideally, 1' x 1/2' spacing.

Well, this one is not labeled as hardware cloth, but it is very highly recommended for use in building cages. The pvc coated wire is supplied by Klubertanz, www.klubertanz.com Ask for Richard and he will help you. The price of the Klubertanz wire will pay for itself in the long run. I have several cages made with this wire and I am very happy with it. I even built two travel cages with the leftover wire. I hope this helps.

Jen

I got vinyl coated hardware cloth- 1/2*1/2 ordered from lowes that we used, but afterwards I found 50'*3' rolls of it at Home depot... good luck.. but they do have it- in the fencing section.

I just went to the website you suggested and it does not have 1/2" x 1/2" vinyl pvc coated wire. The holes would be too big for suggies, unless I am looking in the wrong area.

Christinahan619, when you are at the Klubertanz site, click on the "Vinyl (PVC Coated) Wire" on the left side and then drop down to the bottom part of the page, where it shows "Vinyl-Coated Mesh" and click on "Riverdale Vinyl-Gard - Mesh sizes finer than 1" x 2" or 2" x 1"" and there is a large selection of pvc coated wire to choose from. I very strongly recommend the 1"x1/2" 16-gauge pvc coated wire for the cage and the 1/2"x1/2" pvc coated wire for shelves.

Klubertanz also sells pull-out trays and hardware like door latches, trims for inside the doors, c-clips and pliers, etc. It is really a one-stop store for cage-building supplies. If you have any questions, let me know and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Klubertanz is only 2 1/2 hours from where I live and I have been there a couple of times. I even brought my glider to show Richard once and he understood why we needed the 1"x1/2" bar spacing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />
