At what Stage of joey's being ip does the mom start singing to the joeys??? I think my mom is singing but I am not really sure she never did this before and now it happens like 4 times a day she doesn't shake just the little noises I was just wondering if it was her way of "talking" to her babies??

When my boncho was pregnant for the first time she started singing about 2 or 3 weeks before they were OOP!! So if she is singing, it's coming soon! She did rock when she sang though, but you know the rocking is her trying to get the babies of her teat. =] Boncho's pregnant again and hasn't started singing yet so, i'm not even sure how far along she is. Her "lumps" are growing fast though. good luck with your babies!

Yes they do grow fast we have estimated them to come oop around mid July So she has about a month to go she's been doing this for about a week now but seems to be getting more frequent here lately.

The glider on the left is a female she is a white faced blonde no they aren't the parents I don't think those 2 will ever have joey's as they are to old They sure like to practice alot tho! The ones with joey's ip are a chocolate and a standard grey these are my first joeys and hopefully my last as I love the idea of babies but feel that my pair is to young just yet. Like it or not tho they are on the way so I may as well be prepared.

Ok went to that link have decided that it was DEFINITELY singing... the question is at what stage do they start this?? I know every glider is different but in general I was hoping there was a stage so that I would know how much longer I have to go... This waiting game is KILLING ME!!!!

"singing" (or what I call the "get the heck off my nipple" noise) happens because the mama is telling the babies to detach.

Dan Here is Calypso singing and shaking with twin boys. That was dad putting a stop to the recording! She started singing two weeks before they were OOP. My other females seem to start singing two weeks before OOP day too. http://s245.photobucket.com/albums/gg65/suggiemom1980/?action=view¤t=100_1327.flv

What time of the day do you normally hear singing? My pair with joeys IP are new to me and I'm trying not to push too much with them. They're coming around quickly though, and I'm hoping to start bonding in pouch soon.

What time of the day do you normally hear singing? My three moms do most of their singing at night (after the house is dark) - but I have heard them sing from time to time during the day. Some times a mom will sing to her joey's to help encourage them to come OOP.

mine will sing around noon everyday and mostly at night around 10 or so is usually when I hear it again. She will at random do it during the day too tho sometimes up to like 6 times a day. I don't think she's close enough to having them for her to be telling them to get oop. she conceived on April 27th if that helps anyone I was so devistated that they were mating that I have the date imprinted in my mind... LOL

my momma sings off and on all day long. I don't hear her sing as much at night as she does during the day, maybe because it is quieter during the day around her than at night, and she might be singing after we all go to bed. Not sure on that, but she sings probably 3 to 4 times just periodically thru the day.
