gas money problem depends on how far I need to drive...but I could probably get the money from somewhere...

I'm about an hour south of Kelly.

I think we are going to try for Texas. So, if we can get him as far as Peace in OK, we are good. Who can help? We are at a loss for the space between MN and OK. I don't know how far that is driving-wise.

Or, should I hang onto him until the SGGA - I could bring him into the emergency vet - might be cheaper for me than driving all the way to OK and back? I just don't want to have to make that drive twice this summer...but I'll do it if it's the best thing for this guy. I think I would just need to come up with an extra $400 for gas and I could do the drive in one day - assuming I drink lots of caffeine... I could probably use my company credit card for gas and pay my company back...

That is much more doable for me - I'm willing and able!

I never cease to be amazed at the generosity and compassion of this community.

My parents were just here for a bit and my mom completely understands why I want to help, but my dad doesn't. He keeps telling me not to help, that it's a waste of gas and money. My mom kept telling him that I'm 30 years old and can decide for myself what's important and what I want to do... my dad is an animal lover, too - but he just doesn't understand the lengths that we go to to help gliders out (my mom does, though!)
