Any experience flying with a glider? Going back to Montana soon and reeaallllyy don't want to 'sneak' him on again. Found no answers at airline websites, have been transfered to almost every employee with northwest I believe. Got frustrated and snuck him on, worried about getting him back. He was great, he was missed during the pat down!

The only airline I've actually taken a sugar on with me was Delta. It was 3 years ago, and I don't know if they still allow it. I was able to take her in the cabin with me.. she had to be in her own kennel, small enough to fit under the seat in front of me. My only advice if you do this, is to make sure there is a double lined pouch, or maybe even 2 double lined pouches, one inside the other. It got really chilly on the plane.. and especially on the floor where the baby sugar was. Poor thing. I got a blanket from an attendant, and put it around the carrier to keep her warmer. I've never dared take one on myself!

I am hoping all they do is charge me $80.00 for an animal. HOPE being the operative word.

Fortunatly they don't cool planes like they used to. Just to be on the safe side I had a jacket with me. He took his 'blankie', a 4x4 fleece he takes everywhere! No one even noticed when I gave him water or snacks!
That brings up another worry I had. It will be almost August and very hot when we head back, I am concerned about him over heating. I offer him water every half hour, but being new I am not sure how cool I need to keep him. I tried to keep him on the warm side of comfortable coming out. How is their heat tolerance?

They can put you off the plane at the first stop AND fine you.

I have heard during research that if you are hot, more than likely they will be hot too, if you are cold, they will be cold too.
Dancing is right though! They could put you off the plane and fine you as well!
I would be very careful.

Thank you. Wiggles was dropped off at my house one day and I focused on his eating and housing needs, got that taken care off and had to hop on a plane to take care of mom, who just got out of Mayo clinic. We have very poor reception here so it is hard for me to stay connected and get any research done. I appreciate the info!
Fortunatly, my trip back is direct.
