I have been surfing for cages for months and want a tall-4-6 feet tall cage for my babies. Many I see have 5/8 bar spacing which is 1/8 bigger than the recommended 1/2 inch. Can these be used or do they have to be 1/2 inch bar spacing? Also, any suggestions on a pretty cage to be in the living room? Thanks.

Definately do not use it. I had bought one on ebay and thought it was ok. My sneaky little bugger would wait til' night time and slip right through the bars like butter. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shakehead.gif" alt="" /> I think the one I have now is 3/8 inch and I love it.

Here is the link to my cage. It's a bit on the pricier side but in my opinion better to look at. They have free shipping also. I'll attach a pic for you too.

Nothing more than 1/2 inch bar spacing. It's not much but makes a difference

I also suggest avoiding flight cages because they have 'prison' type bars. A grid is better for gliders, because they jump from side to side. You can use a flight cage if you want (lots of folks do), but in my experience, the gliders jump and slide down. It doesn't seem to bother them much, but I prefer a grid.
