How do you make the hole in it for them to get through? I want to make them for my cages, but don't know how to do that w/o breaking the plastic or having rough edges....HELP! Thanks!

Use a hole saw - it's a round saw bit for a drill...

I'm an overworrier so I use the door knob hole saw to cut the hole and then use an old hot glue gun to make the edge smooth-no glue just the heat melts the plastic edge nice n smooth-sometimes a lil lump but still smooth. I kept sanding and sanding and still wasn't happy with the edge-seemed like I'd make it flat in one spot and sharper in another-so the glue gun worked great for me.

I used a dremmel(sp) tool with a cut off wheel on it, then used a sanding wheel thingy on it. Worked great.

I need longer ones because of the trays I use (three way divided).
I will see if hubby has one of those drill attachments, thanks!

When I have cut down bowls for various glider projects, I just use a lighter to lightly melt the edge like Glidernanny's gluegun trick. You just have to be careful to do it lightly and slowly... but I'm sure that all plastics are different, so do it over the kitchen sink. The nice thing about using a lighter is that the plastic tends to melt into a round edge on its own... weird, but very smooth!
