I am trying to put a glider BACK with his mom and dad after having them separared for 6 months.
There are 3 gliders in the cage.. mom dad and older brother,,, and I am trying to put the younger brother back with them(making a colony of 4)... All males are neutered.
Wierd thing is they cuddle all day in a cage pouch but when they wake up to play ,,, they chase and attack him. No injuries yet... and last night I put him in a spare cage when they started chasing him,,, when we have them all in the bathroom they play nice too,,,They really get mean over the stealth wheel too,,, I have 2 in the cage and just ordered 2 more,,,,
anyone have any suggestions PLEASE... I want all 4 in the avairy we bought,,,(7ft tall 5 ft diameter)
thanks

There is always going to be a "low man on the totem pole" and your guy may be it. Do you have seperate feeding stations?

The cage is huge and I have feeding stations on opposite walls to each other. I have seen them eating together ,,, its takes abit before they fight..they need to wake up fully,, then they go after him,,, pout. Well really only 2 of the 3 go after him, the mom and brother....
confuses me how they can cuddle all day and play nice when we are with them but put them back in the avairy and its off to the races and when he gets caught he cries =( thats why I put him alone in a smaller cage last night,,,
not sure what to try now.

Ok, here is what I would do.....remove two of the gliders and put him in the cage with one for a night, see how it goes (put the other two together in another cage.) If you have no issues, add one more glider in, see how it goes, then the third. That is what I would do, anyway.

That is what I would try. Perhaps one on one, you can see how the interact and then maybe they will be more accepting that way.

Just told my family and we are going to try this,,, we figure him and mom in the avairy,,, 2 wheels in there and they both love to run on them ,,, so maybe they will get along,, It was voted I will sleep in the living room tonight ,, just incase LOL,,, Still ok to do the playtime with all 4? We havent had them fight at all when we are in the glider room with them,... or will that confuse things?

Did you try cleaning the cage thoroughly before adding him to it? I don't know a lot about intros yet, but it seems like it would help if they are being territorial.
