Mary asked me to post this for her...
I just got off the phone with Mary a little bit ago. She found her glider Roo passed away in her pouch this afternoon. She thought it was odd that Petey was not in the pouch with Roo so she got the pouch out to investigate and discovered her gone  Mary is very broken-hearted and in shock right now. She is waiting for a call back from her vet. I have advised her to place Roo in the fridge and to bring her to the vet in the morning (along with Petey for a Wellness Exam).
Roo was about 4.5 years old, to the best of Mary's knowledge. Her previous home had her for about 3 years and fed her parrot seeds. Mary suspects that the necropsy will show fatty liver disease, but won't know for sure what the cause of death is until tomorrow.
Please keep Mary close in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through this very difficult loss

Gina, I just got off the phone with Mary and let her know what you posted. She said thank you. She is still waiting for her vet to call back regarding the necropsy. She will be calling me later, so I will keep her posted on what's being said on here, as I am sure Suz will be too. I know that she appreciates everyones support and well wishes.

You have been such a good friend to so many. Please take comfort in the love and care you have given Roo - although in the face of this loss, it is meager comfort. But, Roo knew the love of you and Petey.
I hope Petey lets you console him. Please keep us updated on the test results.

I spoke to Mary briefly a little while ago and yes,she is quite in shock. My heart goes out to her, and poor Petey. I miss Mary a lot not having here here anymore. She was always so helpful and thoughtful, and would do anything for anyone here. It was a sad day when I read she would be leaving GC and I have not been here as much because of what happened. We are supposed to be here "For The Good of the Gliders", plain and simple. So sorry Mary  Your friends Pat, Boo-Boo, and BJ Thanks Suz for posting as I was going to . I just found out a little while ago about this.

Ok, I just spoke with Mary and she got the Necropsy report and asked me to make a post for her. Here are her exact words on the report of what the vet found: "Necropsy showed a huge stone in her kidney, she died from kidney failure, but unfortunatately, her organs had already begun to become necrotic, so it was useless to try to send tissue out. She believes she may have still had the UTI (she was treated for one four times) and ultimately, her kidneys just could not take anymore. Everything else was 'normal' aside from the stone, which she said was enormous."

The loss of Roo has started to set in and her heart is heavy. Mary has asked me to post this vidoe she has of Roo. This is the video of Roo right after she moved in with Petey (Petey is not in the video). "Look carefully under her 'arms', you will see the blobs of fat she had. She was huge, over 220 grams. I am glad I have at least the videos and pics of her. God, I miss her. Oh my god ... that was the sweetest thing ever!!! I didnt expect to cry when I opened it but, I did. The birthday pictures are simply amazing ... they hit me the hardest ~ and made my heart ache for Mary. Its amazing how attached to our animals we can become ... Pat, if you talk to Mary please tell her I send my love to her and her family (gliders) ... I know she's going through a hard time, but remind her that Roo is now going to take care of her, as she did him. My heart feels for her. Roo is now jumping around with a free spirit and pain free ~ but he'll always know where to find his momma!!!!

Mary, The Memorial to Roo was beautifully done. It reflects the love you had for him in such a very short time and also the pain you are now suffering from his departure.
