I have a glider that when she poops it gets matted into her tail. What should I do? I been cleaning her tail latly because of that... Help.

Glider poop should be firm but not hard, pellet shaped. If it is runny/loose/soft, then diet issues need to be looked at. (that would make it sticky). What types of fruits are you feeding? What diet is she on? Citrus can cause loose stools if fed to often as can apples (atleast with my gliders). If you can let us know what you are feeding, we can help determine if it is a diet issue or possibly a medical issue.

it's not really hard and it's not loose. It's right between the two. I have them on the bml and I give them fresh fruits all the time as it says too. Apples they love apples and it seems to happen even when giving just the bml. So I wasn't just sure if she is just young and will grow out of it. She still uses the bathroom in her pouch. Where as my older glider doesn't. He has the same firmness as hers but since her tail is still really fuzzy I was wondering if her fuzzy tail had anything to do with it. She is only 10 weeks old now.

she is still young and her system is still adjusting. I think she will out grow it as she matures. Just keep an eye on her that it doesn't become runny or very loose and she should be fine.

should I keep cleaing it or should I leave her alone for a while and see if she will do it on her own?
