While going through the pellet food list data (see that thread as needed), I found one interesting point of "similarities" between these two food pellets.

Here are the ingredients for Glide-R-Chow:

Dehulled soybean meal, corn flour, wheat middlings, fructose, casein, dried whole egg, wheat germ, ground wheat, animal fat, preserved BHA, fried whey, corn gluten meal, soybean oil, dried beet pulp, calcium carbonate, brewers dried yeast, wheat bran, dehydrated alfalfa meal, sodium hexametaphosphate, fish meal, salt, L-ascorbyl-2-phosphate, orange flavoring, folic acid, taurine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cholecaciferol, menadoinedimethylpyrimidinol bisulfate, D-alpha tocopheryl acetate, choline chloride, iron polysaccharide complex, calcium pantothenate, DL-methionine, vitamin A acetate, biotin, thiamine mononitrate, cyanocobalamin, riboflavin, nicotine acid, cobalt polysaccharide complex, copper polysaccharide complex, manganese polysaccharide complex, zinc polysaccharide complex, ethelenediamine dihydroxide sodium selenite.

Here is the guaranteed analysis for Glide-R-Chow:

Specialized protein 22%
Specialized fat 9%
Specialized fiber 4%

Feeding instructions for Glide-R-Chow:

Keep dish 1/2 filled with the pellets. Once they looked gummy/chewed up, they should be replaced with fresh pellets

Now, here are the ingredients for Mazuri New World Primate:

Dehulled soybean meal, corn flour, wheat middlings, fructose, casein, dried whole egg, wheat germ, ground wheat, animal fat preserved with BHA, dried whey, corn gluten meal, soybean oil, dried beet pulp, calcium carbonate, brewers dried yeast, wheat bran, dehydrated alfalfa meal, sodium hexametaphosphate, fish meal, salt, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), orange flavoring, folic acid, taurine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol (source of vitamin D3), menadione dimethylpyrimidinol bisulfite (source of vitamin K), d-alpha tocopheryl acetate (source of natural vitamin E), choline chloride, iron polysaccharide complex, calcium pantothenate, DL-methionine, vitamin A acetate, biotin, thiamin mononitrate, cyanocobalamin (source of vitamin B12), riboflavin, nicotinic acid, cobalt polysaccharide complex, copper polysaccharide complex, manganese polysaccharide complex, zinc polysaccharide complex, ethylenediamine dihydriodide, sodium selenite.

Here is the guaranteed analysis for Mazuri New World Primate:

Crude protein not less than 22 %
Crude Fat not less than 9%
Crude Fiber not more than 4%

Feeding instructions for Mazuri New World Primate:

New World Primate is designed to be an essential part of your Sugar Gliders Diet. Keep dry food in the cage at all times. Feed fruit & veggies to you glider every night! 3-4 times a week sprinkle Glider Booster on their fruit.

Has anyone else noticed that these are the exact same recipes but the only difference are the feeding instructions?

***Please note that this recipe is also sold under "Exotic Nutrition New World Primate diet".

Doesn't surprise me. They take Wodent wheels and put their stickers on the backs of them, claiming they're not wodents. shakehead
They're so pathetic. It drives me nuts that people buy into their scams.

They are the same food. It is just marketing of repackaged food. Just like SunCoast's repackaging of zoofood Insectivore Fare and calling it ZooKeeper's Secret.

Ya...it's sad. They rip anyone and everyone off to get a quick buck. Even if it's the same food, I'd never feed either of them. I mean, I know some zoos in Australia use it. (right?) But they're in Australia and we're in the US. (PPP) Perfect Pocket Pets doesn't tell you to feed the pellets right (with fruits/veggies/mealies) but still..

The zoos in Australia do not feed these pellets-they use artificial nectar based diets.

I'm fairly sure neither pellets are available here at all.

Mazuri's you can find on a few websites and you can also find it at Lumber 2's, if not they can order it for you. I don;t use it as my main diet (I use HPW) but I do put it in there for a snack if they want one during the day.

LOL I just checked the ingredients to the "glider grub" that is sold by cageworks and it's the same! LOL
so we have multiple businesses all selling the EXACT same product under DIFFERENT names! I just cant stop laughing about this. so who sells it the cheapest huh?

Glider Grub is Mazuri New World Primate : ) I missed that line in my data so thanks for pointing it out.

Mazuri is readily available and can be ordered online though.

So individuals using Glide-R-Chow, Mazuri New World Primate, and Glider Grub or having an opinion on any of these should take care to have the same opinion on all of them since they are the same smile

They are all the same food, sold by mills at an EXTREME mark-up. The first ingredient is a soy product and the second corn flour....really....why would that be considered acceptable food for gliders when corn is so high in phosphorous and soy products are warned against inhibiting uptake of essential vitamins and nutrients as well?
