Back in November I made the announcement that Karen and Eddie are being brought on as owners along side me. This decision was made because I got to thinking about the future of GliderCENTRAL, and wanted to keep GliderCENTRAL moving forward for many years.

Many of you have realized my posting on the forums has diminished over the past few years, but I am still here making sure they keep the focus and stay the course!!

Over the last two or three years I have had a few medical issues, most after many many tests have not brought back any answers to why I am getting sick until recent. For the past few years, we have thought all the symptoms I was having was caused by medications that were prescribed for me in the past, but since have been off of for a few years and was feeling better.

I have enlisted a new doctor who has been great. This internist handles all of my other doctors and has been more efficient than all the others in the past.

After a visit with him, he expressed that he felt it would be best to see a neurologist to rule out some things. A visit to the neurologist revealed a problem that should have been diagnosed a year or two ago. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The diagnosis was a bit of a surprise but also a relief. Now we know what is wrong and making me feel the way I have been and gives reasons for things I have done.

At times it is hard to do, but I try to get on GliderCENTRAL and read all the posts and check on things. Karen and Eddie keep me up to date with everything going on here.

It is very hard to type and takes a long time. I usually need help to finish, but I am hoping with the new medication and some time I will be able to come in from time to time to let you all know how wonderful you are and that I love you all.

Ellen, I know it must be scary, but also a relief to finally know what has been going on. It's so much easier to fight a war when you know who the enemy is! I hope with the right meds & treatment you will be able to function at a better level and get some peace. Take care!

Ellen, I'm happy that you finally have a diagnosis. I'm also sorry that you have Parkinson disease, but I hope that you will start feeling better now that they know how to treat you.

Miss Ellen, I was just thinking about you and talking about you just the other day. I sure do miss you.

I miss our phone conversations and the times you would tell me about the flying squirrels outside in your yard.

I will be sending out prayers for you and for Bruce and I hope they can get it under control now that they have found it.

If there is ever anything I could possibly do, you have my number, I hope you know you are able to use it whenever.

You take care of yourself, and I already know that Bruce will take good care of you as well, thanks for that Bruce.

Its not the same with you not around and posting and yelling at me all the time, but it is still good to see that you are still around at all.

Miss Ellen, These days Peggy and I don't agree on many things but we definately agree about you. You're the best and you are missed around here. I miss our IM conversations and the phone calls. I miss your silly onery self.

Having health issues myself, I know how frustraiting it is to not have the answers. I'm happy for you they have finally figured things out and can now properly treat you so you can feel better and be more YOU. While the diagnosis isn't what we want to hear, it is better to hear that then "we don't know".

Ellen has had GliderCENTRAL since around 1999 when Clara the original site owner asked her to take over the site.

Ellen thank you for your years of dedication to this site and glider well being. I'm so glad you have an answer finally (I know how scary it is to be sick and not know why). I will pray that the medicines give you enough relief to be on GC (and for anything else you might want/ need to do). It's nice to know that you'll be lurking in the back ground keeping us all in line
