Ah, my weekly duty.

I usually take a small brush or cleaning pad with some mild soap, clean the track, wipe the inside of the wheel, and then rinse it off under the faucet. I would not submerge it - you don't want water to get into the bearing (inside the grey housing) if possible.

I put about 3 inches of hot water in the sink with a couple tablespoons of white vinegar. Then I take the wheels off the stand and put the open side in the water. If the water reaches the bearing housing, it's too deep. Then I up-end the wheel so that the track is in the water and I can spin it as I scrub the track. One part is always in the water soaking while one part is out of the water so I can scrub it. When it's all clean I attach it to the stand and hold up a towel and SPIN SPIN SPIN. That will make most of the water fly out of the little crevaces. Dry it off with a towel and leave it in front of a fan, or out on the porch when it's nice outside, until it's completely dry. I do this with my Stealths and my CC and it works like a charm thumb

Oh sweet! Vinegar? I'll bet that helps to take the smell away without using soap... gotta try that too. smile

I use regular ol' cotton washcloths, vinegar, hot water, and elbow grease. I never submerge mine. Spinning the water off is fun, especially if you can sneak up on someone else in the kitchen!
