Has anyone else dealt with new parents not getting along? Kat and Bear have been doing great, then last night at 2:30 they woke me up fighting. I didn't have to pull them apart, but it was definitely more than just a little spat. Thankfully no blood as i woke up when they were just getting into it. They bred about a month ago and have never done anything like this. I wasn't able to stay up all night to keep an eye on them but didn't want either one getting hurt so i moved Bear to a separate cage but still near Kat. She seemed almost relieved that he was not in her cage and he was pacing wanting to get back with her. Is she in heat again? I plan on letting them be together tonight while i'm with them to keep an eye on things but didn't know if i need to keep the apart for a few days or let them deal with it themselves. Please help!
Thanks!

She is most likely in heat again as they do go into heat once a month, even if they have joeys in pouch or newly out of pouch. Moms with new joeys I'm sure relish a bit of a break like you offered wink
