The only think i know of is to do the pinch test, where you can pinch the skin between the shoulder blades, if it stays up and tented, the suggie is dehydrated. I'm not sure if it works with babies.. i'm sure someone else will come along soon though

I don't breed, but from what I've seen, the wrinkly skin of the joey could be an indication that he is dehydrated. What diet are you feeding mom? Is she getting extra protein to aid in milk production?
I'm not 100%, but if he's looking dehydrated, and is weak, you should supplement feed him, but leave him with mom. The only time you should completely pull is if you notice mom completely rejecting him--generally you'll notice cuts or scratches around the nose.
I'm sure someone with more experience will come along and give more info, but this is what I've understood.

Yes the pinch test can work on joeys. You said you are suppliment feeding him what is the mixture you are using? I have been hand feeding my baby for almost 3 weeks now and I make sure that she gets pedialyte every feeding to keep her hydrated. So far that has worked well. Also what age is this little one? You may need to suppliment more often than you are or possiblly pull completely. I like mom havig contact with baby tho because at least she will clean her and help with the fur mess that comes from hand feeding.

HER EYES ARE STILL CLOSED I THINK SHE IS ABOUT 4 DAYS OPP I AM FEEDING HER THE GOAT/ PUPPY REPLACER AND SHE JUST GOBBLES IT UP EVERY TIME. SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY SCRATCHES OR OWIES JUST SEEMS A LITTLE WEEK AND DOES NOT MOVE AROUND MUCH COMPARED TO THE OTHERS. I AM REALLY SCARED FOR HER. I WILL TRY INCREASING HER FEEDINGS AND ABOUT THE PEDIALYTE WHAT FLAVOR AND DO YOU HEAT IT UP AND FEED IT JUST LIKE YOU WOULD DO WITH THE MILK

ok I understand the panic I know I have been there alot these past few weeks. This is what I was told to do as far as feedings. take 1 tsp baby bm., 1 tsp pedialyte no flavor, and one tsp of the puppy milk replacer mix it all together. Then I warm this and feed it. The pedialyte helps keep them hydrated. I will also use the fruit flavored pedylite for just drinking my little girl loves that just make sure you make it warm they dont like cold.
