First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone, if it wasn't for you I don't know what would have happened. Well anyways, here is my story:

Last night as I was sucked into the internet, oblivious to everything around me, I suddenly realized Stewie was gone. I looked in the drawers hoping to find him, but with no luck. Soon, I began to get frantic, (I mean it is me, what do you expect?) and I started to check the bookcases the couch EVERYTHING around me. I called my sister over to have her help me. Well, I went into the TV room and I looked in there. Suddenly I heard in my head a little voice saying
"First thing you do if you lose a glider is to shut all the toliet lids, because gliders can climb up on the toliet and fall in and drown. -Glider Central" So I went into the bathroom which I noticed was a crack open. I turned on the light and there Stewie was, standing in the middle of the floor staring up on me with a look on a face that seemed to say 'Hey there! I read those messages too, and I just kneeeeeeeew you would find me here!" Well I just scooped up the little bugger and told him how much of a little brat he is etc. Gliders... I'd tell ya!

Gee, that is too close for comfort. Stewie just lost one of his nine lives. Gliders are much like little children....gotta watch them every minute.

Mistic--Thank you for sharing! I think you bring up a very good point from your personal experience and I am glad you posted this. As the springtime gets into full swing with summer quickly approaching, our schedules become more hectic. We all become a little less glider safety conscience. So this is a great reminder for all members to be aware of glider safety as our lifestyles become more involved during the warmer months. Undoubtly, this post will help save more than one glider by jogging peoples memory when letting their glider play or leaving the bathroom. Again, thanks sharing this and averting more than one tragedy.

I know what you mean!...I've lost one or two of mine a few times, and the toilet seats are the first thought on my mind...A dash to both bathrooms, then a check on where the cats are (4)...Then, a sigh of relief!...Then, the frantic search goes on...I think we've all experienced this at one time or another...Happy to hear that Stewie was found "safe & sound!"
