I can't wait to hear more debate, thoughts and solutions to this potential problem
.
As far as the
bonding pouches that I make....they are just that, a *
bonding* pouch. I really think for going out on the town type thing, using a more secure, different type of pouch is best. A
bonding pouch is just that, used for initial
bonding. Most glider's despise being closed in, or in their eyes, *trapped* in anything during the initial
bonding stage. I think the drawstring type is great initially because zippers and especially velcro scare them. Drawstring
pouches rarely will close securely enough, in my eyes, for an unbonded glider out on the town. For
bonding time, petting time, treat time...all those initial
bonding techniques...they do the job.
Personally, I have never felt comfortable taking mine out on the town for many anal reasons
, so this is very interesting and definately needs addressing. Common sense is telling me regardless of how the pouch closes, if out in the elements some kind of air opening should be the standard. Around the house....is it really necessary to have the pouch so tightly closed?
Just thinking outloud....but loving everyone's input and debate. We WILL figure this out!
