I can't believe it! I was sure to hear good news. Even if she has diabetes, that is usually a temporary condition while pregnancy that goes away days to weeks after birth. It is not over yet. I know you have the best intentions and you will make the responsible and reasonable choice no matter what. I just pray that you are filled with patience,strength and love to make it.I have learned much from your posts and open advice you give other members so I know you have a solid mind and a pure heart for the benefit of these wonderful creatures.

Well Here is the Final Update:

Rowg passed away at three am this morning <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> She was trying to hang in there and my vet (Dr.Chavez) was up with her all night. He said that he tried more things but nothing worked. She just couldnt hold on anymore.

Im so heatbroken and sad...She is the first glider I have ever lost. I want to give her picture to one of the Mods for the memorial page but right now it is too soon to see her picture posted there for me.

Im going to find her mate a new home (I hate to say this and Its in no means out of anger) i just cannot stand to see him with another female glider other then Rowg and I know that he needs another mate.

I am however keeping her last joey...Indy. I cannot stand to sell him now since he looks just like her and he is my last remaining tie to her. He was the one that she had abandoned (by no fault of her own as we can see).

Im going to go and Grieve for a little while...It helps the heart to heal <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/heartpump.gif" />

I'm so sorry. You can take comfort in knowing that Rowg is no longer suffering and is in a better place. I'm sure that she knew how much you loved her and fought to make her better.

i'm so sorry, i know how this feels. I lost my Willow a week ago, and lost her quite suddenly.

It is nice that you are keeping her joey Indy. You are doing a great job taking care of him. Have you though about keeping her mate and then just keeping Indy with his dad? Maybe fixing both when the time comes? I am sure they both feel the loss of Rowg as much as you do and it would be nice to have each other.

Thank you everyone for your love and support. I am still very sad and its hard to walk by her cage and not see her adorable little face smiling back at me waiting for a licky treat or some love and attention. She was always the one who would pop right out of her nestbox to say hey to me as i would walk by...I could never get away with walking by her cage without being stopped by her. <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/heartpump.gif" /> Now Its sad to walk by it...knowing that she wont be there to greet me anymore.

Indy didnt know his mother all that well since he was abandoned and Im not so sure that his father would take him in cause he hasnt been with him or near him for over 4 weeks. and Indy is doing great on his own. He is my Rowg only in small male form <img border="0" alt="[Glider Angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gliderangel.gif" />

Taz...so sorry to hear about Rowg, she sounds so special (((TAZ))). Be kind to yourself now...my prayers are with you.

Shauna, I am so sorry about Rowg, thankfully you do have Indy! I know it hurts right now, and it hurts to think about putting someone else in with her mate, but he is feeling her loss too, and to move him to a new home on top of that, won't be good for him. Why don't you think about putting Indy in with Daddy, neutering Daddy and letting them stay together? Her mate is going to need some extra love right now and maybe you two can heal together! Please think about it!

Oh no Shauna, I'm so very sorry. I know how much she ment to you and how much you loved her. She was the very first glider that I had seen with her unique look. She was so very pretty.
I konw exactly what you mean when you say it hurts so bad walking past her cage and not seeing her there waiting on a little kiss or that little treat. That's just how I felt after Joey died, and then when I went to wash his pouch and blankie, oh, I couldn't take it, everything just smelled like him.
But, Shauna, we are all here for you and I'll be coming to see you next month. If you need anything, please just ask. We are one big family here, with some living closer than others, but we are all here for you.

Its only been a couple days but Im ready to share her picture and admit to my heart that she is gone...I need to finnish my grieving and so I must add her picture to the memorial section here at glidercentral...Its going to pain me more then anything to see her added to that section but .... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> I know that she would want to be rememberd and I cant keep her all to myself.
