My vet said she uses "super glue" instead of stitches. I've not had any gliders neutered yet but plan too very soon and will be doing a lot of research before then. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Those "pants" are a clever alternative to an e-collar. It helps keep stress to a minimum and it allows the gliders to move around freely. I like it! Thanks for sharing with us.

Meagan, how are your boys doing now? Have you checked the stitches yet?

I am going to mention this idea to the vet I'm having do my boys' neuters. I like the idea of not having to ecollar them if I can avoid it.

Meagan, how are your boys doing now? Have you checked the stitches yet? The boys are doing quite well, as far as I can tell. The younger one has managed to get his pants half-off, and has full access to the neuter site, but he doesn't seem to be messing with it, so I think he just wants the bandages off. Boo, the older male, still has his pants fully intact, and it doesn't look like he's bothering to try to get them off, so they must not bug him too much. Both have been receiving pain meds about every 12 hours. They're currently having supervised playtime with the girls, who they've missed. So what I've gathered from the "pants" experience, is that the gliders can potentially get them off, although it does seem to take a lot of work. I'm sure that if they weren't medicated and were in pain, they'd be much more determined to get them off, but the pain meds lessen their desire to access the stitches. So, this seems to be another possibility when it comes to SM's.
