I was just wondering if anyone else had tried it with anything other than mealies? I have been hiding Bella's chicken, fruits, and veggies all over her enclosure. Chicken gets hid under leaves and fruits in branches, veggies are all over in different holes. I was trying to go for something "zoo like" and she seems to really love looking everywhere and "hunting" for her food! Just seeing if anyone else had tried anything like this?

Sometimes I take an empty coke box (12 pack), cut it in half and stand it up on it's end. Then I'll fill it up with fresh carefresh bedding and hide mealies all in it..I'll even put some way at the bottom. My guys get a kick out of digging around. They've even slept at the bottom of it before.

I have tons of different shapes and sizes of containers that I'll hide mealies in, but only Bleeker will work to get them out. Juno just sits there and watches...and then steals the mealie one he's gotten the thing open. So now I have to hide mealies in "easy" places for her. And even with the easy ones there...Bleeker still prefers to figure out the containers.

I have hidden extra fruits and protein for them for a long time. They just never know where they are going to find it. I don't do it every night. But some nights they get to their bowl and go...wait a minute. roflmao

Anita used to make a hanging foraging unit and I'm sorry that I only have one of those, because it is fun to have them work for their food a little too.

Sugarlope, which one? I am thinking about making some of the old foraging units again if I can find all the parts. If not I just might have to play around and make some new ones.

Do both (making old ones and new ones!!! grin ) I have the little foraging units that hang up with the holes in the side, but the one I was talking about was large red one (wheel size) with the white covers over the treat cups that you can tighten to make it easier/harder for the gliders to get the treats out...I don't remember what it was called. But I loved all of your stuff!
