Could someone please recemmend a good glider chew toy. I have seen my gliders chew on things in the room when let out. I would like to provide something in their cage that is appropriate.

[:"green"]The best glider chew toy I have found is wood. Make sure it is glider-safe wood, such as maple, apple or pear. If you put a stick of it into the cage, your glider will enjoy stripping the bark off of it & chewing on it, too. If you cut sticks from trees in your own yard, make sure they have not been sprayed or fertilized in at least a year so that they are non-toxic.

I agree, glider safe branches are the best "chew toys." My guys go crazy when I put a new branch in their cage and love to strip all the wood off. Then I just replace with a new one

Here is a link to a list of Gliders Safe branches

Where are you finding these tree branches? At the pet store or somewhere else?

If you go to your local plant nursery, you can ask them to help you find one of the plants on the list. Just make sure they are pesticide free.

Then I would scrub down any branches you use and (if small enough) bake in your oven. Once cooled they'll be safe for your gliders

Thanks for the idea! I honestly never would have thought of that very obvious solution before you mentioned it. LOL

Exotic Nutrition online has some red wooden flavored chew toy recommended for Gliders. But there site is so darn hard to surf around I can never go back and find anything a second time.
