Nicole I know jasmine came from mike mcgrath and her mom was from Helen's sterile line. I think jasmine was 4 generations out from an original Helen glider.

Nadine- I was looking at Preston's linage and Falon's mom can't be Kylie. You might want to check on that. Kylie lives here and has only been with a cremeino het.

I e-mailed Priscilla, as Alyse got Falon from Priscilla. I also went into the database and I think I found the correct lineage... Priscilla has a set of twin girls (I think) that is listed as Kira/Kiley. I think this was the grandma. I made Falon 2 and Preston 2 and we shall see what Priscilla says about who Falon's mother was.

In this example and I've seen it with others, people are picking parents that are not even mates. They say they are owned by different people. I understand there are times that the owner does change and the database isn't updated but checking to see who owns which gliders & doing a double check with the person one get's the glider from would keep from making mistakes like this one.

He is 5 generations out from the sterility and it began with Tilly not Kat. My boys are from a sterile line & Tilly is their great-grandmother with no Kat in the family.

Okay. And I never saw the mistake with Falon because Alyse entered her, so I assumed that she had done so correctly. When I enter a lineage (have done it a few times), I always make sure that the glider I am adding as a parent has the same parents as the pedigree says they should!

Nadine, didn't mean to imply you made the mistake, was just trying to point out the example of the mistake. Mistakes like that one is why the lineages & the database have so many mistakes.

If more people are double checking & proofing the/their entries in the database, it would be so much more accurate.

You can contact Priscilla with the mistake and she'll fix it, rather than adding a second glider and having 2 in there- keeping the 2 will just continue to add confusion.

I put that in for my discussion with Priscilla... to see if that is the real genetics. Then I will change the name as soon as I get confirmation on it.

And I do understand, I didn't take offense. It is a good example. I did not ask for lineage on paper from him because it was online already... and I assumed it was correct.

I was also just making a point for anyone else to be sure that when they choose a glider as a parent, the grandparents are the same as what the pedigree says.

Talked to Priscilla. The lineage has been corrected and the extra gliders erased.
