Go for it! They're fairly meaty. Two or three locusts every week or two would do your gliders well! Lucky for you, you live in the UK where the list for readily available feeder bugs is ACE (e.g. I believe depending on where you are from you also have access to various commercially reared grubs/beetles)!!!
Best of luck!

2 or 3 a week Mikey? I thought 2 or 3 a day as they are only small plus Miah has a joey ip although I dont want to over feed as they dont tend to eat much of their BML. What other bugs are good? I have treid the canograsshoppers and at 1st they wouldnt touch them but if my partner broke 1 in half they eat them (I cant do it as they are huge and totally gros!)

Well, I thought you wanted to feed the locusts as a snack? I find there isn't really a set and rigid rule as to how many insects to feed. It's not like if you feed one locust too many, they'll die of a protein overdose. There is such little protein in a single locust anyway that it really doesn't matter how many locusts you feed your gliders in a week, just don't over do it. Infact, some members on here don't feed any insects at all, and simply stick to accepted diets like BML instated insect-free, rearing healthy gliders in the process. The commercially available locusts I've fed were pretty meaty (about the length of my thumb), and I'd think two or three a day of those would be much. However, if they are small, then use your judgement. Everything in moderation. In the wild, there are seasons when insects are abundant and gliders will feast on them profusely, and then there are times when they are scarce. If you choose to feed two or three a day, try doing so for a few months then lay back on the locusts for awhile. Mikey <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dance.gif" alt="" />

Ok thanks Mikey...the ones I saw were about 3/4 inch so I think I'll give 1 each a day and then have a break like you say. Yuk the ones you have seen sound like the canograsshoppers I had, they were huge and totally gross!
