Hello everyone, i'd like to know what you guys use to light the cage of your suggies? Since they are in my bedroom, and i do need my sleep, i am currently using a small desklamp with a red 25w light bulb. The problem is that it is directional, i can either see the top or bottom of the cage. What setup do you guy use to be able to gaze upon your little charge? Has anyone tried using a blacklight? Do glider 'lightup' under blacklight?

[:"green"]I assume that you are talking about night-lighting so you can watch the gliders while they are active at night...
You can read more about their use in this thread from 6/05:

I just use a regular night light placed near their cage. It seems to light it up fairly well, and my gliders don't seem to mind. It doesn't change their schedule, playing or eating at all.

I have little plug-in night lights all over. I picked up a pack at Costco that change colors, and you have the option of keeping it constant on one color (e.g., red or blue or green). At night, once I turn off the overhead light and shut down the computer, that's the only light my babies have. That's when the partying starts.

I have a dimmer switch in my glider room this way I can keep it down low enough to play and see them or I can turn it up if I need them to think it is time to go to bed.

Well since they are night creatures the lighting might bother their eyes. But if they don't mind then I am sure it is okay.
