I usally write about the funny things my suggies do, but not today. Last night after i fed my suggies their mealies. I got in the shower and then i discovered the cage didnt latch. I immediately looked in the pouch, 1,2,3, but no #4. I looked and looked, but my dog found her first. I cried all night, and my mom came over to comfort me. As morbid as it sounds i slept with her in her little coffin all night to bury her this morning.

I just want to post to let everyone know how important it is to be the guardian of these suggies, because they dont know how to take care of themselves. Some could say to be mad at the dog, but he too is animal and no matter how you can train them they are still dogs.

I hope this post helps anyone who is about to or just purchased a sugar glider to remember all the parts of you family. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/gliderangel.gif" alt="" />

I'm so sorry for your loss. It hurts so bad to lose a beloved pet that is a definite part of the family.

I so respect you for not being mad at your dog. I'm sure that at the time he thought he was doing the right thing for you.

Awww sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear about your little girl. Your dog sure didn't mean to do anything wrong and if he's like my dog, the minute she 'quit playing' with him, he realized he did something bad. Just give him extra lovin' today too.

My heart goes out to you, Aimee! No matter how hard you try to make sure that every "i" is dotted & every "t" crossed, sometimes things like this just HAPPEN! (I've been down that road myself with a washing machine....so I can talk!!)

It wasn't the dog's fault and you're wonderful for not placing the blame there. And don't drown yourself in guilt, because that won't do any good. Find a special flower or plant to put next to her grave & know that your baby knows you LOVE her & give special love to all your fuzzy faced babies & just be careful to double-trace your steps. That's all you can do......

i'm sorry that you lost your little girl . i lost my glider she got out and slep in my shoe the next day i put my shoe on ,and i hear a terrible noise and the next day she died .my mom tried to replace her spot in the faimly with a new puppy . she gave in and bought me a glider.

Yall are all so sweet. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts during this time. The joeys are making progress fast. I was really worried about them, Btsy is very independent just like her mom. Itsy is more laid back and mourning her mommy. I have started to bra bond with her and she has done very well a lot less crying and barking. I have been watching them to make sure they are eating and drinking and they are. I got some pedilyte on hand in the event i need it along with the other supplements if i see they are not active. Chip, is doing his best i can tell. I know he must realize by now Feona is not coming back. But he is taking in consideration the twins first. Im very proud of my little man. I will keep yall updated. Thanks again.
