Yesterday I sold my 2 females baby gliders. They were 8 weeks OOP already. But I am so worried if the babies are doing good or not. Of course I can call the person and ask him. This morning when I woke up, Kirara and Kuroro were very noisy. So I went to check on them and they both were out of the pouch running around. I am wondering if they are looking for the babies. What should I do to ease this transition period??? Or should I just leave it the way it is???

I was so worried so decided to call the guy and check how are the babies. The guy said so far so good. One of them cried a lot. I guess looking for mommy. He said they did pee but he didn't pay atention if they did poo or not. He said they didn't eat the fruit, but they did leak it. I am planning on going to that guy's place to check on them. Should I bring mommy and daddy to visit the daughters???

The parents should be just fine. Some for the first night will look all over the place but the next day will be back to normal. In the wild they usually kick their kids out of the colony so it is something they knew was coming.

I feel so sad for them. But now they are both sleeping, which is good. The guy called me and say that both babies did eat a bit this morning. That makes me feel a bit better. I still remember when my Kirara was a little girl and she refused to eat for 3 days... I ended up buying her a mate... So far, everything seems ok. I think the babies are just going through that tough time ajusting themselves to a new home. And the parents are trying to ajust to their lives without babies again... Thanks Sil, at least now I am a bit less nervous and anxious.

[:"green"]One of my mothers will hunt for her joeys for a few days after they are gone. Then she gets mad at me for about 2 weeks and crabs at me every time I go near the cage. Then she'll hide her in-pouch joeys from me for as long as she can <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif" alt="" />
My other mother always seems happy when I take the joeys away (I think she's relieved to have a bit of a break).
Some mothers are just more possesive of their joeys than others. I'm sure your gliders will adjust quickly & soon be back to normal.
The joeys are going to be just fine. Don't worry... And you can always call to check on them.
