Do you know how far along she was, roughly? If she was just starting to get big it is POSSIBLE that she is hiding the joey from you... Have you been able to feel her tummy? If so do you feel a lump or is her tummy soft and squishy... If it is soft and squishy she may have pulled the joey for some reason, stress, or she knew something was wrong with it... If that is the case you won't find any remains more than likely. In the wild they dispose of the remains, so that is likely what happened if she did pull it. I'm sorry if that is what happened!

Like Bugsmama said if you are for sure she had joeys ip she probably did canabalize the joey/s. It is hard to understand why but diet, stress, first time moms all tend to be reasons why. Was she getting enough protien and calcium? Was she a first time mom? I'm sorry this has happened. It is always hard.

It is hard to say. Some times it means that the mom is not going to be a good mom but some times it just means it was all a new experience and she didn't know what to do. What diet are you feeding her? She might not of had enough protien. Even on a proven diet moms need a little extra protien boost to make a proper milk supply. If it happens 2 more times I would have the male neutered so she doesn't have to go through the ordeal of getting pregnant, having the joey, carrying the joey and then rejecting it. Some gliders are just not good parents, but are great pets!

blindangeleyes, Sometimes it just happens. My Ayla was a WONDERFUL mom to her first twins. But last week at 6 weeks IP, her second set of lumps just disappeared. Nothing had changed, she was still on the extra protein and calcium from the first twins (they were only 12 days OOP when I got to see the next set go IP) No stress, nothing, just one night during playtime I checked her belly and it was floppy and flat
Don't give up on yours being good parents, I know my Ayla and Stitch are and they will get to try again when they are ready.

For my mommas that have rejected a joey I give them a pinky mouse a few times a week. I use the frozen ones that are already dead. I thaw mine out by putting it under warm water for a few mins... others let their gliders have it frozen. It is gross to think of, but they do eat the whole thing, you will more then likely not find any remains. Gross I know! But they are full of protien and calcium. For most of my mommas that have rejected this helps build their milk supply. One momma it didn't work for though so she is with a neutered male

Glider joeys and pinkies smell totally different so they would be able to tell who is what and not eat the joey, unless they are not good parents. It has worked for me and many others. I wasn't saying you HAD to do it.. just a suggestion. I know some people are very queezy and can't handle stuff like that.
