Potty Breaks? #1061543

So I'm on day two of keeping the boys (ugh, still nameless...) with me during the day. They went already very easily into the bonding pouch from their sleeping pouch after I gave them a couple mealies. After a couple hours I gave them another couple of mealies (I bring a stash with me in the car).

Now I'm fairly certain I read they will generally not potty in their pouches - but there may be some days when I have them for quite a few hours and not have a place for them to really run around. I don't want them to feel troubled with not being able to potty for this long (if that's even an issue?). If I wake them up I'm wondering how to get them to potty in the cage before the bonding pouch without wanting to run back in the sleeping pouch and also if I take them out during the day if I can try to get them to potty on a baby wipe without them wanting to run all over me to do their business (I wear business attire for work).

Any suggestions or tricks that help? Are there any signs to watch for in the bonding pouch that says "hey, I gotta go!"?

Mine become restless and actually try to unzip the zipper. If they have bonded to you completely, they can become bra babies. They will always try to get out if they have to go.

I would take mine to the bathroom after they have fully bonded to me of course at that point and make a small pad of paper for them to go on. Tinkerbell knows the drill where if i dont lift her tail to make sure she doesnt get anything on it, she gives me a look. Once you are bonded, you will always have an unspoken bond as well with them. smile

My gliders usually go all day (like 10 hours or more) in a bonding pouch without a potty break, but some days they do get restless in there. On those days, if I feel them really trying to get out, I respect their wishes and let them out. However, I have never seen them come out to potty... usually it's more like, "Hey Mum, what're you doing?" or "What are you eating?"

If I take them out in the middle of the day and put them in their cage, they will run into their sleeping pouch... and still not potty. roflmao I guess they like the cover of darkness to do their business!

Mine are like this for the most part. But if they do come out and need to go potty, they know to either sit on my hand and go (I will hold their bottom over a sink or garbage, but NOT a toilet) Or sometimes my little Arwen insists on sitting on the front of my shoulder and she sneaks a potty break there (always under the shirt so I dont care much)

On this note, please avoid restrooms with automatic flushing toilets! I've heard of gliders being lost this way! cry

Yeah i do check them because my 2 year old is afraid of them as well so i can only imagine how loud it could be for them. I know if i am going to that certain place, i dont even take my suggies.
