Hi all! I'm sorry I haven't been around in the last month or so, I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get things ready for my suggie [:"black"] [/] . So here's my problem....I got a cage from from Suncoast that has 9 sliding doors but I didn't know how to keep my glider from opening the doors. So I used wooden clothespins to keep them closed. Do you think that's a bad idea, could they be harmful to my suggie?

They can pop them off or chew them...If you do not plan n using the door get some zip ties. If you plan on using them I use the really small hair clips - just be sure they are curved teeth. (If you need an example let me know and I will find a pic)

Thanks for telling me, I'm going to take them off. Could you get a picture of the clips for me?

if you don't plan on using all the doors you could just use zip ties on the doors that you won't be using.

and then those hair clips that myangelbear77 had recommended on the doors that you'll be using more often

This is going to sound really stupid but where do you buy zip ties? Lowes and Home Depot don't sell them.

You should be able to find them at any hardware store... even Wallmart has them. They are also known as cable ties so try asking for both when you go looking for them

I'm sure I have the same type of cage you have. I also keep all my doors secured with hair clips. I only do this because...
I have found that the gliders opening the doors and getting out by themselves has not been a problem but the real problem I have discovered is the humans not making sure the door slides all the way down to a completely closed position. When you have to put on something to keep the door closed, it makes you more aware of what position the door is in when have finished with it.
