The necropsy results for Mareki have come in. Please see the attached report. I have also attached the completed Necropsy Survey submitted to The Sugar Group. In essence, the overall results were that there was no specific cause of death found. However, Mareki did have evidence of liver disease which was determined as likely to have been contributory to her death. In addition, her hypothyroidism was confirmed and was also likely to have been contributory. Along with that, it was found that she had some gall bladder disease, fluid in the lungs, and clogged cardiac arteries due to obesity (which was caused by the hypothyroidism). Although the results did not give a specific conclusive reason for death, I do have closure in knowing that I was treating her for the right condition for all these years and that I was able to give her the best life possible under the circumstances of her birth. Glide Free, Mareki
I'm sorry little Mareki is gone, but thank you for sharing that report, hopefully others can learn from it and someone who is experiencing the same thing might be able to take this info to his/her vet....

I'm so glad the results brought you some peace of mind. Having a beloved pet necropsied is never an easy decision - but in doing so you know that Mareki has continued to help us all.
Thank you, Suz. Hugs. I am sure you miss her.
