Where did you buy your glider kitchens and how do you like them?

I don't use them, but here is a thread on how to make them and where to buy the stuff you need to make one: BMX Girl's Glider's Kitchen

Hope that helps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

I love mine. One thing to note: make sure the one you buy fits in the cage door. My gliders love to throw food everywhere, and even with the cage a foot from the wall I would still have dried food on the wall. The cake dishes solved that problem.
They are easy to make as the thread suggests. After you make the hole, file down any sharp edges from cutting.

Another thing, look for cake dishes with easy to remove lids. I flip them upside down and use the lid as the dinner plate so that I can remove easier from the cage for cleanning.

Hope that helps. What other innovative ideas have people used to keep gliders from throwing food everywhere?

You could also use one of the plastic igloo's for small animals. The only thing with this is that it has to be on the floor.

[:"green"]I use the Fun Box by Sterilite. The hand-holds are perfect sized "doors" for the gliders to get in & out of. No drilling & filing necessary... Attached picture shows both the small & medium sizes (shown without the "lids" but I now use them as the "floor" of the kitchen).

I use a shoebox-size and shape plastic container. I don't even know where I got it, but it fits my shelf just right. I cut an entry hole in it with a Dremel tool.

You can pretty much use any plastic container that fits your needs. I put a piece of fleece on my shelf as a placemat and just set the food dish on the fleece and place the kitchen over it.
