I have not idea if this is going to make sense but here goes…

The long bolt goes through the center of the wheel,
The sleeve then go on
Now a small washer

That is all on the inside of the cage….
On the out side will be the other two washers and then the nut…

[:"#666666"] <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> Tillie,
I think you have the right idea but the wrong order <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" />
I'm going to try from memory like xglider because I'm also at work <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worried2.gif" alt="" />

[:"#666666"] Put the short sleeve on the bolt - then through the stealth (no washer yet) - then the long sleeve - a washer - through the cage - another washer - and finally the nut <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" />

Tillie, Put the small metal spacer on the bolt first. Then insert the bolt through the front of the wheel. Next slip the long metal spacer on the bolt. The long spacer should be on the back of the wheel. Next put one of your washers on the bolt and stick the bolt through your cage wire. Put the other washer on the outside of the cage wire. The two washers will kind of sandwhich the cage wire. Put the nut on and tighten as tight as it will go. I hope this helps.

Thanks hushpuppy...would that be the same as I have a wood framed cage and have drilled a hole through the wood to put the bolt through? Its now 4.15 a.m here so will have to wait for my fella to get up as its a 2 man job as my cage is over 6ft...poor Pacha cant make out why his wheel is so hard to run round as we speak!!!

I've never done it that way but I think it will work the same. I think if you put a washer on each side of the wood it would work the same as putting them one each side of the wire.
