Petco has changed their wheels so that they remind me of the stealth wheels now. Has anyone checked these out yet? Just looking for opinions as these are readily available. Of course the rat and chinchilla sizes are the two that I would consider.

I wouldn't recommend them if they're anything like other metal-mesh wheels then there are bound to be gaps and sharp points sticking out all over. :/ Those type of wheels are made for quantity and not quality, which leads to very low safety standards.

The reviews all say that it squeeks badly.

It is a huge improvement! Better than the guillotine wheels!

But I still wouldn't use it with my gliders.

I wouldn't use them, especially because of the bearing system. Like Nicole said, they're made for quantity, not quality.

This wheel is no good for gliders. I had one for rats and there were sharp points. It will fall over if not tied down and a glider can get cought in the bar behind.

Have 2 in cages here and haven't had any problems. Don't have sharp points on mine and no problem with squeaking that a drop of cooking oil doesn't fix right up.

Mine are ziptied in just like all my wheels are. I wouldn't order online because I like to check them hands on in the store.

Yeah, these are definitely not new...they've been around for some time. I looked at them at one time for mine but just didn't like the quality of the product - seemed kinda flimsy to me so I was concerned with possible breakage of the metal. Other than that, I didn't really see anything "wrong" with it.

I've heard of people using these without problems; however, I ordered a TGI when I needed a new wheel. The bar behind the wheel makes me a bit nervous....

I have one of these type of wheels for my gerbils (they chew and destroy anything else) so I can see the value in them for gerbils (and degus, who are also power chewers)... but for gliders? No way.

I have one in a cage here and it does not have any sharp edges.. my gliders like it just as well as the stealths that are also in the avairy. Every wheel gets used. Mine does sqeek but I also just put a drop of vegatable oil on it and no problem at all...
