We started on HPW Complete around April 2nd. Before that, we had been on HPW Original for 4 years. Let me say that I also loved the Original diet, but my babies had basically stopped eating it, so their coats were starting to look....yuck. I think that, exacerbated by the winter air, made their coats cracked and dull. There are 4 "Before" pictures, I picked the best ones I could to show the cracking. In the next post, I'll post 5 "After" pics, again I picked the ones that best showed their coats and their improvement. My babies LOVE this diet and beyond their coats, their energy levels are up. I had noticed before going on the Complete that they were only coming out to eat and play for maybe half an hour in their cage at a time, whereas 4 weeks into the Complete diet, they are up for more like an hour to an hour and a half at a time (plus they get lots of out of cage time too). For anyone contemplating a switch to Complete, here is MY testimony to the great results you could very well see! 2 pictures of Ruthie a few days before starting the Complete: 2 pictures of Gizzy before: You can see lots of cracking and dullness in their coats. I will upload the "After" pics now...

they are such cute fluff balls. i used a humidifier this winter and my gliders coats did well. no cracking, etc. i am going to be ordering the complete also. my gliders have tasted both and like them equally well.

Mine love both the HPW Plus and HPW Complete-- they were on the HPW diet before I switched them. I like the fact that my babies have no odor at all and I know that their bowl will be clean by morning.

The Original HPW diet calls for Wombaroo High Protien Suppliment (powder) that is made, manufactured and distributed from Australia. HPW Plus and HPW Complete is a diet that has a high protien suppliment (powder) that is made, manufactured and distributed in the United States. it just so happens that the person who created the HPW (original) diet is also the same person who created the HPW Plus and HPW Complete powder.

The green juice is a fruit juice that is all natural, no added sugars and things. The most popular name brands are:
Odwalla Naked Bolthouse
It's an optional ingredient so you don't have to add it to the hpw mixture.

They are so cute, and sooo chubby! I love it! Can I ask you a question on the HPW complete? I am doing the original now and was thinking of switching. What do you give for fruits/veges? Do you still have to watch the ratios on them? I can't for the life of me figure out the ratio which is why I went with the HPW and the fruit/vege relishes! SOOOO much easier! I find it much easier if I know exactly what to give lol I don't trust myself to calculate the ratios on my own

Is the garlic powder in Bolthouse and Naked okay? It's one of the last ingredients, but I wasn't sure, so I got Odwalla.

Sue and Jess, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Sue, Peggy has a list of mixes of fruits and veggies that you can offer your babies with these diets that will give you the desired overall ratio. Go to http://www.hpwplus.com/preparation_serving/preparation_serving.htm and you will see what she recommends (it's towards the bottom). For me personally, I offer the mixed veggies (corn, peas, greenbeans, and carrots), a dark leafy green like bok choy, mustard greens, collard greens, or kale, and a "treat" veggie like squash, okra, sweet potato, regular potato, celery, and mushrooms, among others. For fruits, I offer the melons (watermelon, canteloupe, honeydew), berries (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and cherries), grapes of all colors, ALWAYS papaya, and then the other random ones I throw in could include kiwi, mango, apple, prickly pear, and banana. I rotate all of those. No matter what diet you feed, you want to aim for an overall ratio of 1.5:1 - 2:1. Jess, the amount of garlic in there is so tiny, that it does not harm them. I personally don't offer it, as my babies didn't go for it and just prefer their Complete straight up so to speak lol. Brandon, Sherri is totally right. Another difference between the Original and the Plus and Complete is that the Original has a 1:1 ratio, whereas the Plus and Complete have a 2:1 ratio. And off topic...the shoe fetish is CREEPY lol. I'm actually going to start a thread in Glider Talk & Traveling because I have pictures of them with EVERY pair of slippers I have, SEVERAL pairs of my flip flops, both pairs of my Ugg boots, and SLEEPING in my ballerina Steve Madden flats lol. I have NO idea what their deal is, I own the weirdest gliders on the planet, it is BIZARRE lol. Thank you to everyone who has said nice things about my gliders I think the difference is already very noticeable and I think even if they're chubbers, they're cute as all get out
