Hi guys,

I just thought I would post my experiences regarding the positive effects I have seen from feeding my glider a bit of "Odwalla Superfood" juice.

For the past month and a half, I have been giving my glider 1ml of "Odwalla Superfood" juice every morning. When I wake up, I take a 1mL oral syringe and fill it with the Odwalla Sueprfood juice, and feed it to him from the oral syringe. Not only does he love it, but I have absolutely noticed that his coat has become significantly softer, glossier, and fuller.

The ingredients in the juice are : Apple juice, Peach, Mango, Strawberry, Banana, Spirulina, Soy Lecithin, Vit C, Wheat Grass, Barley Grass, Wheat Sprouts, Jerusalem Artichockes, Lemon Bioflavonoids and Nova Scotia Dulse.

The reason I picked this particular juice was because it contained so many nutritious greens that are packed with vitamins and minerals.

This is obviously not meant to be a staple diet, it is just something I give in small amounts to help provide a more complete diet, and as I said, I have noticed very positive results in terms of my glider's coat.

If anyone decides to give it a try, make sure that you get the "Superfood" flavor of Odwalla juice. Odwalla makes many different juices and some of them contain things you would not want to give your glider (garlic and onion extract for instance).

Does anyone else provide similar mixed juices or smoothees to their gliders?

I know that Green Juice is an option in the new HPW Complete (maybe Plus, too??).

I have not personally fed any of the juices to mine. I'm pretty sure others have, though so hang tight. smile

Yes, it depends on what is available at the store that I am at. I like using Odwalla (strangely same one as you), I also just use the gerber baby juice w/yogurt (either the banana, or mango one), I also do some of the "naked" fruit drinks as well (these ones I kinda vary on, I read the ingredients first.. couldn't name the flavors off the top of my head, because I give this one the least). As I said before, it all depends on what store I'm in. They love all 3 of these and I will say that their coats are much fuller than they used to be & shiney (4 of my kids were rescues with scraggly coats). So I'm not sure if it's just better feeding or the juices that fixed their coats. Regardless, they love it and they all offer nutritional value.

I offer my girls Simply Nutritious, Mega Green juice by R.W. Knudsen....about a tablespoon every other day in a small saucer and I have noticed that their tails have become fuller and their coats are beautiful. They eat Pricilla Price's diet and they love their juice treat so much that there is never a drop left in the morning!

I use the Naked brand Green Machine juice in my kids' HPW diet. They eat it much much better with it in than without! And, like yours, their coats are really nice. I'm a believer! wink

@ southeast sugar gliders in florida, they have(?) been feeding this along w/there regular diets for some time now, they call it 'jungle juice';I got the idea from them to feed this. I have a horrible time finding 'Odwalla';'Naked' seems to be the big seller in my area, it is just as nutritious, & the amn't of garlic is so miniscule, that I don't feel it is any threat,so I feed it often. I either mix it in w/the veggies,or feed it on its own in a tiny bowl.
there also is a 'superfood' for fruits, but I feel it isn't as nutritious as the 'green machine' juice.
