I'm sure this has been posted before but I could use some advice on traveling food for suggies. I'm going to an Android Lust concert in Chicago this up coming weekend and I know the BML won't travel well (my only complaint about the diet) so I need some advice on what to feed them while they play in the travel cage in the hotel room...or with my sister since our coordinator is having trouble with the whole hotel reservation thing. Thanks in advanced!

I like to take baby food chicken (sprinkle with repcal) and some fresh fruits/veggies. You don't need to refrigerate the fruits/veggies - just buy enough so you can cut open a new piece each night.
If you really wanted to, you could pack a blender since most hotels have mini-fridges. A lot of convenience stores sell hardboiled eggs next to their sandwiches/salads. I've had to go this route before.

If it's just for a couple of days, its' okay for them to go without their BML. Just increase the protein, by giving them chicken (baby food or cooked with no added fat or salt or cooked egg) and sprinkle their dinner with repcal and herptivite.
If you're going to be gone longer, those Ziplock containers with the screwtop lids are water tight and won't come open. You could pack some BML in one of those in a small ice chest (as long as it stays cold it should be okay, even if it doesn't stay frozen) until you get where you're going and have access to a freezer.

it is just for one night, they'll be home in time for their dinners on sunday. I was a little more worried about portions though. any help there?
I'll have to keep that tip in mind for x-mas season though...our families are all over the state so we need to take four days off to see everyone around x-mas. Thanks Peeperkeeper
