Are joeys born with all of thier teeth? Do they ever go through teething like most other animals do?

I was just watching my 8 week old joey chew on a zipper and he was putting it in the back/side of his mouth and biting hard on it and I suddenly wondered about this.

Huhm, I honestly don't know, but I'm guessing "yes." <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" /> I do know they go through a "nippy" phase, like babies. Here's a good link on glider teeth.

The nippy stage is what I was wondering about. It would be a lot easier to understand the nippy stage if it was partly from teething like a puppy or kitten gets.

Gliders get ONE set of teeth only, and only lose them through illness, injury, or damage. They are all grown in by the time the joey comes out of pouch. The "nippy" phase is more like them 'tasting' everything to see how far they can go.
