Couple of quick questions I couldn't find with the search function:

1) How long is it OK to leave glideraide out (it's in a bottle, not standing in the open)

2) FRUIT FLIES came in with a bag of cherries and I am now battling the evil buggers to get them out of my place. I was worried because when I took food from the gliders' cage this morning they were chilling in the fruit :-/ any suggestions to get rid of them fast? (besides my ineffective furiously chasing and killing each one that I see and removing all mooshy fruit from our counters?)

[:"blue"] It's my understanding that glideraide should be served in single portions so little if any is leftover. Check with your supplier to make sure.

As for the fruit flies, once the fruit is gone, the flies will probably also disappear but be sure to look around the top of your ceilng to make sure they have not spun any little cocoons. I believe I have read that a little dishwashing liquid in a dish of water will attract them. [/]

You should toss the gliderade each morning. Also, it's best not to put it in a bottle because it can clog in there. It's actually better to put it in a shallow dish for the night.

Here is a link to SunCoast's newsletter with an article on fruit flies and ants that you might enjoy, along with instructions on making a fruit fly trap.

Good luck! Those things can be so darned annoying.

Wow, that trap idea is great! I'm going to drink a bunch of pop to get the 2 liters and make one right away! Thanks!
