I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post in, but hopefully a mod can help me out with that if not..

I had contacted a local shelter about adopting a sugar glider they had recently, but it was already homed. I found them on facebook, and was able to give the new owner all kinds of information (that she seemed to already know, thankfully) as well as the link to glidercentral. After all of that was said & done, the woman from the shelter sent me a private email, asking if I could write them up a 1-2 page care sheet, just for while they have gliders in their care (hopefully short term).

I was just wondering if anyone has something like this or suggestions for how to go about it. It would be impossible to list all the different diets. I think the simplest would be the best (percentages fruit/veg/protein). If any of you have worked at or even have your own glider rescue, any input is welcomed. When I finish it I plan on posting it on here for review!

Also, this is for the people who work at the shelter, not for the adopters. Just a basic straight forward "Do this, don't do that" type of thing.

Any thoughts on how to approach the diet area of this? General care (pouches, acceptable types of bedding, cages, bar spacing, etc etc etc) I think I can handle, but I don't really know how to go about the diet.

Thanks in advance!

Jason

Kudos for finding the adoption home and helping them out! Thank goodness for devoted people like you. I'm excited to see the finished care sheet! smile

I love that you are putting the effort into it for the shelter. I hope that not too many gliders wind up there, but in the case that they do it is better if they have educated caregivers and maybe your sheet will do just that!
