I have been getting several emails lately, most about green juices. First of all, I would like to say, this is NOT a part of the HPW diet itself. There are folks out there that like to use the green juice in their diets. When using green juices, please know this does NOT replace the fruits and vegetables that are NEEDED in the HPW diets. When you add green juice you are NOT replacing anything. It is just an addition that some add in. Here at Critter Love we do occasionally use green juice, meaning once every few months. We use it more as a treat than part of the diet itself.

Keep in mind that if you ADD green juice to any HPW mixture recipe and keep the feeding portion the same (1 TBS) you are actually reducing the amount of the HPW ingredients fed to your gliders.
This reduces the protein, vitamins and calcium your glider would be consuming.
If you want to add the Green Juice to your HPW feeding plan - I suggest you mix the HPW according to the directions then, at feeding time, serve your usual 1 TBS portion of HPW then if you wish, add a teaspoon of green juice either mixed into the 1 TBS of HPW or as and additional side dish to your usual feeding.
The Green Juices bring a lot of vitamins and micronutrients to a feeding but they are NOT calcium rich.

Whenever asked, I always recommended to add it after, just as Candy said. I liked to think of it as an extra item a couple of times a week, rather than something considered as part of the staple. I actually continue to do that with the current diet I'm feeding as well.

I don't mix the green juice with my HPW Plus anymore, I use it in rotation with their fruits. I usually feed one fruit a night, so one night they will get green juice in place of fruit chunks.
I feed a little extra mixed veggies on those nights.

I will add it to the veggie relish, 1/3 a bottle to it, then put it in ice cube trays. I will then use 1/3 to another round of veggies,& the last 1/3 I put into the cages plain, when they aren't getting any veggies, but fruit, instead. I do not always do this, just once in awhile. My freezer has many different types of meals. Some have extra yogurt,or ensure,or applesauce. Some also may have nothing added to the fruits or veggies. These are added to their meals, never their diet.
