I'm preparing an upcoming article for our newsletter and it is my goal to try and expand to include more community perspective in the newsletters. I would love to hear how you play and interact with your sugar gliders? For those of you who wish to play along, do I have your permission to use your comments in the newsletter? I get asked this a lot my new glider keepers as well as those considering getting sugar gliders. A lot of people think you just carry them in your pocket and we know there's a lot more interactivity than just that. Thank you!

I let my gliders run all over the drapes while I chase them with a feather or we play Peka-Boo in the curtains or they just play in my hair or we do the glide game... we have tons of fun

We let our gliders loose in my room. It's been Glider-proofed and Baby and Shadow love to play Wheres the Glider in the bed sheets. They'll cover themselves up and jump out at you, land on you, before racing back to hide again. They also race up and down the sheets and explore the drawers.
Yes, you can use this.

Jasper likes to run around chasing feathers or attempt to clean my clothes for me. Kiki and buster haven't gotten that far yet, but will occasionally attempt to catch a feather if I can lure them out of the pouch during tent time.

You may use this.

Out of cage play is usually in the bathroom. Sometimes I bring in their gym or house, but mostly I just let them explore, climb, jump or glide. They do spend lots of time grooming me, usually on my neck or nape. But recently my Skadoosh has developed a foot obsession and tickles me terribly, if I shew her off, she'll settle for my slippers on the floor.

Permission to use comments granted.

I have a genji sport pop up tent and they love it. It has mesh on it so they can climb all over and jump to me from where ever they are. Sometimes its like in being attacked and dive bombed lol. They play with the feather cat toys. They play with staws and string. Luna liked to play wrestle with my two fingers when I wiggle them in her direction its on. She played it them like puppy would and jiya likes to pounce on my toes when I least expect

Thank you everybody for your responses and your permission! When you combine the creativity of us two leggers with the creativity of the fuzzbutts. It is quite noticeable when we observe multiple gliders in one home that play with the same toy or human in such a variety of ways!

I let loose my gliders on my bed which they climb pillows boasters and big soft toy that is currently on my bed. They would jump up and down the pillows and jump up to my shoulders and play around with my wife's hair. Mostly climbing and slacking around their fav corner of the bed. smile

I just wanted to thank everybody who shared in this posting. We did publish this newsletter and dropped it a few days ago and the response to all of your great suggestions has been really gratifying. So thank you and here's a link to that article if you would like to see your name in lights.

I would love to get your feedback on whether you enjoyed this sort of presentation or the more traditional approach I've generally employed. I always plan to have most of them more traditional and educational, but for a change up now and then... what do you think?
